Wow this brings back sweet childhood memories to me. I remember the "oldschool" lego space theme back then when I was small. Grenpa gave me a lot of lego and the space theme was my favorite. I even have a lego figure as a thalisman in my trusty old bag. Nice work, Dave!
My father stole some of those little red dots (from the launchpad) - he made glowing nipples for his license plate lights. Miss those translucent yellow plates and the whole scheme of colors from then.

This would be an actual Lego model sold by Lego themselves! You would buy it directly from their mail order service, assuming the set ever actually got made...
